Annual May City-Wide Spring Clean-up

Southwest side of Highway 99: May 2 through May 5
Northeast side of Highway 99: May 9 through May 12
The Clean-up collection is to offer residents, within the city limits, a chance to dispose of large items that are unable to fit in the refuse containers.
Unfortunately, there are some items we simply cannot collect.
- Cardboard / Newspaper (see "Recycling Program")
- Loose trash which should be in your refuse containers.
- Lumber / Brush and/or yard waste.
- Tree stumps
- Lawn mower that is not drained from gas and/or oil
- Dirt / Sod / Concrete / Asphalt
- Car tires (exceeded the allotted amount of 2 per household)
- Dead animals - (Contact the Ripon Police Department at 599-2102.)
- Commercial Demolition materials
- Commercial Business Material
- Glass / Mirrors
- Refrigerator or freezer
- Air Conditioning Units / Hot Tubs / Spas
- Televisions / Computer monitors (exceeded the allotted amount of 3 per household. Also, see "Computer and TV Disposal")
- Household Batteries (drop off at City Hall, Police Department, Library, or Senior Center)
- Tire Rims
- Truck or tractor tires - (For disposal contact: Swier Tire @ 599-7512)
- Large automobile parts
- Household Hazardous Waste (Call HHW Facility 800-449-4840)
- Paint / Types of chemical / Motor oil (Call HHW Facility 800-449-4840)

Computer, TVs, CFLs, and Major Appliances Disposal
The San Joaquin County Lovelace Transfer Station offers free disposal
for homeowners or business in the second Tuesday of each month.
