The purpose of the Planning Commission is to review projects and developments relating to planning or zoning issues. The Commission's recommendations are referred to the City Council for consideration.
The Planning Commission meets on the Monday following the City Council meeting (unless it's a holiday, then it meets on the next Monday), at 6:00 pm, and the meetings are held in the Council Chambers, located at 259 North Wilma Avenue.

Parks and Recreation Commission
2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm

The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council, the Recreation Director, and the staff in all matters pertaining to public parks and recreation, and to cooperate with other governmental agencies and groups in the advancement of sound recreation and park planning and programming.
The Parks & Recreation Commission meetings are open to the public and are held every 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the City Hall Main Conference Room. Regular agendas are posted 72 hours before a meeting.

San Joaquin County Commission on Aging
Members of the Commission on Aging are appointed by each of the City councils of each incorporated municipal entities within the County, each of the members of the Board of Supervisors, and by agencies providing services to seniors.
The purpose of the Commission is to provide guidance, education, and advocacy on issues that relate to older adults of San Joaquin County. To provide leadership at the local level in developing systems of home and community based services. To assist our diverse population to live with independence and dignity in their home and communities.
San Joaquin County Mosquito Abatement District
San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District (the District) is an independent special district formed pursuant to the California Health and Safety Code, Section 2000 et seq. The District is governed by an appointed Board of Trustees, with representatives from each incorporated city and the County at large. The trustees are appointed for either a two or four-year term.
