Large Unwanted Item Pick Up Program

The City of Ripon is offering a service for residential customers to conveniently dispose of large unwanted household items during the months of April – September.  Residential customers are offered one scheduled pick up during this period.  If you have items to dispose of, please carefully read the following procedure and regulations.
  • To schedule a pick up, call or e-mail the Public Works Department at [email protected] or fill out the online formYou will be provided a confirmation number of your scheduled pick up day.
  • This is a one-time service per year for residential utility customers only.
  • Items must be placed on the street next to the curb in a manner that does not obstruct the path of travel for vehicles or pedestrians.
  • Items must be out by 7:00 am on your scheduled day, but no earlier than 24 hours prior.
  • There is a limit of four (4) large items per household.
  • Please review the acceptable and non-acceptable items list.  Acceptable Item List.
  • Only items of customers with a confirmation number will be picked up.
