About
The City of Ripon Blossom Express bus operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays providing a fixed route service to stops in Ripon including SaveMart and the Ripon Library, and in Modesto to Vintage Faire Mall and the Target Center. Deviations within a 3/4-mile of the bus stop are available upon request. Connections to eTrans (Escalon) at Dale and Veneman, Modesto, RTD (San Joaquin County), and The S (Stanislaus County) bus lines are available.
Holiday Closures
The Blossom Express does not operate on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Independence Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day - *Please note that during the month of December, the Modesto Vintage Faire Mall stop is relocated to the stop at Dale Rd. and Veneman Rd.
EZHub
The City of Ripon, along with the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) and six other transit agencies in San Joaquin County, will launch EZHub, a cashless mobile ticketing and fare payment system available in the Vamos Mobility App, making it “EZ” to purchase public transit tickets in your mobile device. Once downloaded, transit riders can use the app to plan their journeys and purchase tickets for any of the seven participating transit systems.

Passengers must have the exact fare. Bus operators do not make change.
Fare Structure Notes
- General Fare is valid for ages 5 to 59.
- Discount Fare is valid only for seniors (age 60 and older), Medicare card holders, students (children ages 5 through 17 and college students with valid School ID), and Certificate of Eligibility card holders. The driver may ask for proof of eligibility. Senior/Disabled Discount Card Applications are available at the City of Ripon or download by clicking the following link. https://sanjoaquinrtd.com/access-sj/dfc/
- Free Personal Care Attendants (while accompanying disabled passengers) and up to four children ages 4 and under (while accompanied by a fare‐paying adult) ride free of charge. The fare for each additional child costs $2.
- Full Day Pass may be purchased from Driver. Passes are not transferrable to other bus lines.
Deviations
Deviations within 3/4 mile of the bus stop are available upon request. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The driver is limited to two deviations per loop.

Guidelines & Rules
General Rules
- Remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
- Please use the handrails for safety.
- The seats closest to the front of the bus are reserved for elderly and disabled riders.
- Children 11 and under must be accompanied by a fare-paying adult.
- No eating or drinking is allowed on the bus.
- No abusive, threatening, or obscene language is permitted.
- No animals are allowed except for service animals.
- No sound equipment may be played on the bus without headphones.
- No hazardous materials are permitted.
- Please limit the number of packages/personal items you carry. They shall be kept out of the aisle and out of the way of other passengers. Do not use a seat to hold large items. Strollers and recreational scooters must be folded.
- Appropriate clothing and shoes are required.
Violation of the rules may result in the driver not permitting passengers to board or immediate removal from the bus.
Bike Racks
The Ripon Blossom Express is equipped with two bike racks on the bus. Ride the bus to your destination for the same low price you would normally pay, and your bike rides free!
Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their own bicycles. Bus drivers do not assist with the loading and unloading of bikes.
Racks are conveniently located on the front of the bus and can accommodate two bikes at a time. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Motorized or tandem bikes are not permitted.
Mobility Devices
The Blossom Express is equipped with a Lift Ramp for mobility devices and meets ADA Requirements. The bus can accommodate up to two mobility devices per trip. The maximum load capacity is 950 lbs. The Lift Ramp measures 94" L x 30’” W.
Safety
Caution should be taken when loading and unloading your bicycle. The Blossom Express is not responsible for any damage that may be caused while your bike is being loaded/unloaded or while it is in the rack. Passengers should:
- Notify the bus driver before loading a bike.
- Load and unload bikes from the side of the bus nearest the curb.
- Exit the bus from the front door and advise the bus driver that you will be unloading a bike.
The City or its contractors are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged bicycles.
